privacy
short version: we don’t sell your data and we don’t want it.
what we collect
if you join the newsletter we store your email address with our email provider, only to send you the newsletter. unsubscribe anytime from any email.
cookies + affiliate partners
when you click an affiliate link, the partner site (trip.com, klook, etc.) may set its own cookies to track that the booking came from us. their privacy policies apply on their sites.
analytics
we use vercel web analytics + speed insights to see which guides people read, where visitors come from (country, referring site), what device they’re on, and how fast pages load. it’s cookieless and doesn’t identify you. we also count clicks on partner links (they pass through a quick /go/ page) so we know which recommendations are actually useful. we may also use microsoft clarity, which records anonymized page interactions (clicks, scrolls) to show us where the site is confusing — it masks text you type.
